So, as we have discussed in the last couple of blogs it is a new year and for many people the goal this year will be to lose some weight. For most this is a difficult task. People have to contend with the fact that they don’t have enough time to exercise, others have nagging injuries that make working out difficult and some have to deal with genetic factors like a slow metabolism or thyroid issues.

The good news is you don’t have to be in the gym 5 hours a day 7 days a week to shed those unwanted pounds. Fact of the matter is with a balanced diet, the right supplements, some light exercise and dedication you can easily lose weight.

First things first, cut out the sugar! A little sugar here and there is okay but don’t go chugging a litre of cola or devouring a bag of cherry blasters or anything like that. Second, don’t over eat. Remember it takes a bit of time for your stomach to tell your brain your full. So, when you think your getting close to being full, put down the fork!

If your a busy person and don’t have enough time to get to the gym remember there are other ways to get exercise. You have stairs in your house right? Well, walk up and down them! That’s considered exercise. Ever heard of push ups, sit ups or jumping jacks? These motions also fall into the realm of exercise. If you have 5 minutes do as many push ups as you can squeeze in. Doing this will add up and you will feel better for doing it.
